OK, I am finally mailing in my registration for the "2007 NPC Christine Bongiovanni North Star" this week. Fo' rizzel! Boy, I can't wait. It will be exciting because No. 1, I have never competed in Minnesota before. I think there is some crossover between Minn. and Wis. so I hope to see some familiar faces -- and meet some new people too!
And No, 2, I am really interested to see how I look. I always have different opinions - sometimes I think "Man, I am big enough already!" But then when I was at national shows, I looked puny compared to (some) others. I have seriously worked on my shoulders, so I think that will really help me out. Also, my legs have GOT to be bigger goldangit - as proven by trying to find straight-leg pants that fit (too loose on waist, too tight on legs, annoying!). But you never know. So, it comes down, for me, about dieting and getting the right body fat.
I am not very good at eating when I am dieting. Sometimes I think: screw it! I just won't eat! But that is not a good thing to do, even though it definitely makes you drop on the scale. Also, for me, nerves make me lose weight fast too, so I have to be careful not to get weird-in-the-head.
So, let me whine for a minute: I can't eat six times a day! I don't have time! I am not hungry! I don't feel like it! Waaaaaaah!
But I can. And I will.
I wish I could find someone to train and compete with. Usually, it's just me and Al going to the shows, which is fun too!, BUT I hope to meet some other people around here who seriously get off on competing like I do. I don't like training with people who don't LIKE to train. I mean, when people complain about HAVING to train ... it is so draining! I mean, I just want to say: You are lucky you CAN train! I mean, I am sure if they couldn't (sickness or injury) they would be crying, "Oh, if only I could train ... " *Sigh*
Anyway, I am already enjoying this journey. This morning, I lifted with plyometric intervals. Hello! I was hoping I was going to get to the point of almost throwing up, but not quite .. maybe next time, HA! Man, that was so fun. Then, I follow with my 60 minutes of cardio, and I didn't even need to use the bribery technique with myself. I just was like: "Fight for it man! Don't quit! Never surrender!" I had my Ipod on pretty loud, so I hope I wasn't saying that out loud. Oh, well if I was!
Well, gotta go ... I have to study for a Pharmacology test on Tuesday, then get my food really for the week, go to sleep and get up at 4:45 a.m. I love it.
