Trans Fat
If you get confused between "good" fat and "bad" fat ... you are not alone. It can be confusing .. so here is a little tip. If you remember nothing else, remember to stay away from TRANS FAT. Now, how are you going to remember trans fat from Monounsaturated, Polyunsaturated and Saturated? Think of it this way: Eating trans fat is the same thing as standing on a rail road track when a train is coming. (Trans fat is typically found in margarines and other processed, packaged food product.)
Trans fat used to be called a "hidden fat," because it was not on food labels. But now, in 2006, the FDA has a new requirement that trans fat must be included on labels. So, for once the FDA does something worthwhile. (Not an FDA fan, as you can see.)
